We’d like to invite you, especially SOU students, staff, and faculty, to join us for Let’s Talk Bees!—an engaging "First Saturdays in the Apiary" event at The Farm at SOU. The first gathering is on Saturday, November 2nd, from 10 a.m. to noon. Please meet us at the Thadius Pavilion at The Farm. Whether you're a locavore curious about honey, considering your first hive, or an experienced beekeeper, all experience levels are welcome!
Beekeepers and farmers—the people who keep apiculture alive—are becoming a rare breed. This craft takes long hours and brings little pay, making it difficult to inspire a new generation. Yet beekeeping is more than just a philosophy; it’s a passion, an attitude, and a practice deeply rooted in connection to the land. By educating consumers and reminding beekeepers of the true value of their products, we can help make this work sustainable for the future.
So come "Let's Talk Bees!" at The Farm at SOU on First Saturdays, and stay tuned for more live events at Diggin' Livin' and Joy’s office in Ashland, both in-person and via Zoom. To keep up with all our offerings, please join our mailing list!
