About Our Foundationless Frame
This 3-sided brood frame is designed for biodynamic beekeeping practices that prioritize foundationless brood comb and a more natural brood nest.
While biodynamic standards allow foundation frames for honey production, brood combs should remain foundationless and able to support the full brood nest without artificial interruption. Through the practice of nadiring, these combs can be grown to greater depths, though we recommend keeping brood comb depth at 13.5 inches or less due to the fragile nature of foundationless comb.
